Yupe. Just visited Enchanted Rock again a week ago. I was there almost exactly a year ago in 2005. I still remember I just started photography and it was my first hiking trip after i bought my first dSLR - 300D. :D
Here's the post a year ago.

Hopefully i've improved a thing or two in the past year. C/C welcome.

Great shots, Fee. I love that area when the bluebonnets are in bloom. Also, the hiking around the rock is special.

Lovely Fee. Your photos have a nice dynamic range to them, and when comparing your other post, you have definitely became a lot more experienced. :)

PS I wondered how to phrase the reply as my intention was not to imply that your previous shots were rubbish, but more that your current shots show that you've obviously gained more skills.

PPS Perhaps I should just stop digging a hole for myself at this point. ;)

Oh yeah....you've come a long way this year, Fee. Your work is really beautiful....both here and in the Bird forum.

i haven't done any work since Dec. and I have Prom pictures, family photographs and weddings coming up in the next few weeks......it is making me nervous as I am out of practice!!!!! YIKES!

Very nice. Love the blue sky and clouds. Nothing wrong with the first ones (from last year) either, but I do prefer the expanse and larger landscape feel of these.

It's a shame this year we didn't have that many wildflowers due to the long drought and warm winter :(.

I'm sure you will have plenty of wildlife and nature photo opportunities in the upcoming Yosemite gathering. I wish i could be there shooting with you folks.

Lovely shots and yes, there has been an improvement :grin:Thanks Trevor. Glad my learning process is moving forward. Need that to justify my gear purchase to my significant other you know.

KACThanks for the nice comment Kenny. I was a little pressured before the trip as i didn't know how i would do after just a short year of practice. Glad it didn't come out worse .

Thanks for commenting Mark, Warren, Turnerz, and John. I totally agree. The learning curve is steep but it really makes this hobby fun. I've never been this consistent when learning something that is not job related. :D

Cheers to you all.

I like the first with the wildflowers but I will have to go with the expanse of the last one. Beautiful photos and thanks for showing them.

I really like the first two shots, particularly the first. I can see a difference between the current and your posts a year ago. The colors are vivid and the composition wonderful. I learn so much from viewing your and other's shots. I've got to get around to posting my own; I'm shooting, but not yet posting. Thanks for sharing your work.

I learned so much from this forum, things from composition, subject selection, background observation.....to post processing. I was a complete Photoshop idiot a year ago. Now i'm only half an idiot.

I assume you used the WA EF-S as the sky looks very good and adds a lot to these kinda shots IMO.

Stan, #4 looks like a photo you would have taken, minus the red tint. ;-)

Thanks for commenting JT and Dan.
JT, perhaps the original color of the rocks(pink granite) gives a red tint to the image? Hopefully the sky and the trees look fine.
