This is one of my outdoor shots. I prefer landscape and am looking increase my efforts. Your comments please.

Ok I like them. Lots of good stuff. Lighing is well done and you have detail in the wood shadow, hard to do with sun and snow.

A few Ideas to perhaps try out to see if you like.

First, think about warming up the blue inthe snow shadows. They are very common.
Im thinking try to crop off the buildings on the right. I think the story is the front of the buildings and the weather, isolation.

And now for the you-are-kidding-me-right catagory ... can you photoshop snow into the foreground road? I know... unreasonable.

IMHO - show as much as you can left, crop right and you have a great image.

Yes, you are right. Sometimes we strain too hard looking for something in a picture and we overlook the obvious. I don't ever remember seeing that road. Crop out the road, along with the right expanse. Warm it up a bit. Now it tells a different story. Thank you for your comments.

This was shot with a 2.1 MP Sony DSC-S50. It has done well for a humble little camera. Soon to be shelved as my Canon is in transit.
