I just purchased the 30D about a week ago and was wondering what picture style setting would match my 300D's parameter 1 setting the closest. Right now I am using Standard Picture Style with 4 Sharpening, 1 Contrast, 1 Saturation, and left the color tone at 0.Thanks for any input.

Hi Ryan,
I also upgraded from the 300D to the 30D. The default JPEG Pic Style "Standard" was somewhat less than the #300D's par#1 results, so I set the 30D's "User Def 1" Custom Pic style to 5 Sharpening, +1 Contrast and +1 Saturation (similiar to You, but under the custom pic style selection)! Found this to be the closest to the 300D's default setting results, needing very little, if any, post processing for large\fine JPEG's!!!;)
However, that was with my 1st body! I'm getting an exchange due to "higher than 300D" noise @ ISO 100 using the Standard Pic Style (artifacts and bad Bokeh in good exposures w\all my lenses) and 8 sets of Hot Pixels (@ ISO 1600, long exposures)!!
Hope this helps!
Ted
