I really like Ben sleeping, and Dao going down the escalator.

The shot of ben sleeping at the end of the day, is really nice. It's quiet and relaxing, but not dark and night time...

Dao going down the escalator is a tad dark perhaps a bit more ambient light (or less might work too)? I like the use of the escalator as mirrors. Good capture.

The other shots are good too. Oh, I like the picture where Shannon is holding Dao's head, but the fingernail polish in different colours was too distracting for me.

Have fun.

try converting some to black and white to convey mood.

Great colors also./

Most are good family pics, all are technically excellent.

The one that stands out for me is Shannon at the beach, her expression just gives it that something extra.

I love your shots.

I think we have a very similair trate...I do very upclose type portraits. I am trying to actually break out of that tendency however so I can catch the ambiance of the location or event. Perhaps that is why I am yearning to see that in your shots as well. I would of loved to see more of the ambiance of your trip overseas.

I like Albie. Is Albie a German Shorthair?

Many thanks for all of your replies ... the encouragement is motivating me to shoot some more!

CyberDyneSystems: yes, the Olympus C2100 was an amazing camera for its time ... my 12-year-old son is now putting it to good use, with some wonderful shots of his own.

clos: yes, I have to admit that I am a fan of up-close portraits. I do have more ambient shots as well, so I'll try to create more galleries soon.

Conk: Albie is a mix .... german shepherd, doberman, lab, and possibly great dane. Best dog I've ever had!Â*Â*

Again, my thanks goes out to all of you.
