It's free to get in, but you have to shoot over or through fences. I'll upload a few images later from my collection (as will alot of other people too I'm sure).
Excellent work there Pete. I'm sure I must have been standing with you at some point!!

Ooo er. I was standing right next to those two guys for about an hour, I had a 300d + 70-200. Lucky you didn't catch me. Any idea what time that was taken?
Nice pictures. To anyone thinking of going its well worth it, expecially for free!

Thanks for the comments! I was the guy lugging a 300mm f2.8 about which had various stickers on the hood and was wearing biking gear.

Great shots! How are you eliminating the fence? I took a bunch of shots at Melbourne, but even pushing the DOF out didn't help. :(

There is a large enough gap between the fence and the wire on top to shoot through without getting any of it in frame. Unfortunately the fence is quite tall so the shorter photographers among us may not be able to do this.

Yea, there are a few nice gaps to shoot through. Kinda limiting for creativity, but good compared with other circuits. I only just managed to get shots through the gap, I'm 5'9" and spent a large part of the day on tiptoes in order to get the different angles!

Great Pics, The case for the 300 2.8 can give you another 10 inches of height to see over the fence aswell. And with the cost of the lens you need to get all the value from the whole package that you can!

Me and the 500(and my 100-400)are allready for tomorrow  .My mates dad gets Team Guest passes(its handy knowing the right people high up at Silverstone ;) :D ).So we get the rights to walk round the whole track and get to go at the back of the pits  .
If anyone from here see's someone with a long Lowepro rucksack on and carrying a HUGE white lens, that will be me :D .

Hi everyone I'm a bit of a newbie and thought I would post a picture taken today with my new arrival (EF 70-200 f2.8 IS USM), I'm really impressed with this lens.
The wife was not impressed with the bill tho:rolleyes:

Nice shots, well done. Some of the "extreme" angles are a little too extreme for my liking but it's good to try something different :)
I've just got back from two days at the test, will post some of my own photos soon. It was VERY busy today, in fact I think they opened up all of the outside of the circuit so people wern't stood on top of each other - nice one :) Well worth going... it's FREE.
