View Full Version : is there a better way to search? I'd love to be able to use quotation marks.

Am I doing something wrong? am I not using a trick that other people know? Say I want to search for my new remote, the TC-80N3. If I use the search function (either advanced or standard) I can't refine my search to only include posts with that exact phrase or item....I get any thing with TC in it (such as the abbreviation for teleconverters) or 80n3 (such as the standard wired remote.

It'd be great if I could put that phrase in quotation marks and I'd only get results that include the full search phrase and nothing more or less. Am i doing something wrong or is this just something that could be improved in the forum?

I put +"TC-80N3" in the search field, changed the search type from natural language to boolean, and got the results I think you're looking for. It doesn't look like any teleconverter threads were returned with the results.

Sonofa... thanks for pointing that out, TC; I'd been complaining to myself about not being able to use search logic. Don't know how I missed the search type box...

You can allways use Google as well,. if you more familiar with it,. click on the advanced features of Google and make your choices,. then just ask it to search this doamin only.
