Hi Everyone,

I would love to get some comments/criticism on the pics I've posted on http://www.pbase.com/domary/ukraine_2003

Please let me know what do you think, especially any advise on what could be done to improve it.

Which pics do you like and which would you remove from the gallery?

Thanks!!!
Dominik

Nice pictures all arround.
About the gallery, i think it is too mixed and so, distracting. I would for instants keep macro nature shots separated from urban views.

I would agree about organizing the portfolio, and perhaps weeding out a few images.

I chose a couple pictures to mention:

"Balcony" I like the colors and composition of this image very much. The only suggestion I would make is a polarizer filter, which would have reduced the reflection from the glass. Even with that, it is a wonderful photo.

"Carpathian Village" I enjoy the muted tones and balanced composition of this image. It's very restful and serene.

"Haystacks" An interesting subject, but might have been better if you had crossed the road, leaving it out of the picture. Then you could have recomposed, perhaps with an interesting object in the foreground.

"Church by Night" Again, an interesting subject, but the picture is out of balance to me -- the left third has no purpose. The wires running through the picture also distract me.

It was enjoyable looking through your portfolio. Thanks for sharing.
