Hi and welcome to the forum.
Not a bad start for a complete novice. It looks like you were having to cope with some really harsh lighting judging by the shadow on the front of the car and the brightness towards the rear. I'm guessing low angled, evening sunshine. That is never easy to deal with and you've done a good job.
Try using a slower shutter speed and tracking the car in a panning motion next time. The shutter speed you've used is a little too high and it's given you that "parked on the circuit look"
Having some of the kerbing in the shot is good, helps to position the car on the track.

Get out of sports mode too, try experimenting with Shutter Priority (TV) mode.
Keep em coming and welcome to the madhouse :)
