This was something to see... the spider was at battle with the ant... the ant becomes the meal. AMAZING! Just by luck I caught the movement of the spider. So small!!! It would circle the ant and spin the web. I have several more shots to go through... just a few for now. Tiny ant and spider :D

The spider was able to wrap the ant and leave it for a minute... once the ant started to move... it moved the ant closer to where it was staying. There was another dead ant in the area... I will post a shot of that later.

Thank you all very much :) Glad you enjoyed the series. I think I have a couple more I can post. To see the spider make quick work of the ant was amazing to say the least. The only real trouble I had with the shots was finding the spider after I would snap a few shots and check them. The spider looked just like the sand it was in. LOL

great series -that will teach the ant to wander away from his tribe. Looks like a Springtail got caught up in the melee (shot 4 bottom R) - possibly it would have been the meal if the ant hadn't arrived.
