Well I just recently got myself a 10D and I'm loving it. Unfortunately I think I suck at taking pictures so far. The only thing going for me is that I think I know what a good photo should look like, so when I finally do take some decent ones, I'll realize it.

That being said I would love to get some critism for a couple of the better shots I've taken in the last week.

P.S. This is also a good introduction into this forum as I will probably be posting photos every now and then.

Welcome to the forum.
The link to the larger pictures doesn't work. Please check.

Good job on the color saturated B&W.
The 2nd photo is real nice scenery. What I may have done here is to lengthen the exposure time. I noticed it was shot at 1/1000 sec. A longer exposure would have not only brightened the photo more but also gave the fast moving water a nicer effect.
Depending on how much of an effect you want you could even go for the "silk" effect. Basically just slow the shutter down and close the aperture more.

I'm pretty new to using pbase but I'll have a look. I does seem to be working for me though.

Thanks for the comments Conk. I would have loved to do a long exposure on it but for some stupid reason I left my tripod in the car. Actually I think it was because it looked like it was going to rain and I didn't think I would make it as far as the waterfall. Next time I'll be more prepared.

I actually thought about what it might look like with an even quicker shutter speed (meaning I would have to crank the ISO up to 400 or more) but I didn't think about it until later.

Obviously I'm I still have lots to learn.

Nice pics. I've never been a fan of the parital bw partial color photos, but I think you got that to work. I like it.
