I've put up some pictures that i've taken of a friends group playing live. These are the best of up to 80 shots per gig. Any comments welcome, and any suggestions as to getting a higher %age of good quality photos would be great.
thanks

Can't tell what was wrong with the outtakes, but I can guess that they had too much camera shake.

Perhaps you could use a higher ISO setting so you can get some faster shutter speeds? You might be able to use higher grain in some of the higher ISO settings to good effect (black and white perhaps)

Could you shoot some rehearsals? There you would loose some ambiance of the club setting, but it would allow you to use flash or more house lights.

You could also use a monopod to help steady the camera so that 1/25 and 1/40 speeds would likely be tack sharp.

Thanks for the input. the outakes were shaky or blurred. i tried going out to 400 iso but found the results too noisy. I'll look into the monopod idea. i'm off on holiday now for 2 weeks, hopefully get some nice shots in sunny Spain.
