Overall not bad for starting out.
The eyes seem a bit soft and I'd wish her shins weren't cropped off, as I'd prefer to see the whole body, including the feet. She is also standing pretty erect, making this shot a bit flat, waiting for her to make a curve with her body would make the shot more dynamic.

thanks for c+c guys , there was a "catwalk " which extended from the stage , so i guess about 30 feet or so , what are creds ?? without sounding stupid :o :o

Press credentials..they allow you to get nice and close to get good shots.

focus looks like it's behind the people in both shots, or that might just be me.... well, now that you have 70-200 f4, you can try again if you ever get a chance, and you'll see that you'll like the new pics much better... pictures are easier if you can fully control your camera (got to love manual mode+full time manual focus override). other than that little focus issue they look good


:edit: focus is slightly in front on first, maybe 1-2 feet, about 3 feet back on second

The costume is nice, but with the globstop mic and the wake-me -when-it's-over eyes, sorry, bin it. The second shot is a far nicer shot, though not as clear.

Don't feel bad, I have a pile like that you couldn't jump over!
