Here are a few pictures of my friends car. We took these around 9:00- 11:00pm so im surprised they came out decent. none of the pictures are PS other then the boarder and on one I cropped to get a unwanted car out of the picture. Other then that straight out of the camera. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Yellow street lights suck. Try to find a street with some white lighting.

Did you shoot Raw? Might be interesting to play with the WB. Otherwise, nice shots!

I was shooting Jpeg (never tried raw and need more memory) The only ones that had ANY light were the first three. Here is a picture of what it really looked like out there for the rest.

I didnt know it was going to work but it did. I just kept on trying differant things and it some what worked  .

EXIF info for almost all:
Aperture: f/6.3
ISO: 160
Focal Length: 39mm (guess: 46mm in 35mm)
Exposure Time: 4s (4/1)

That was my second time with my dslr and I was using a Sigma 24-70 EX. so for what I had and did im liking them. Yeah I need to find some better lighting (yellow sucks Balls).

is there a way to stop the light stars?

I have no Idea! I think because the shutter speed was crazy long, no. But like I said second time with a dslr and shooting in almost pitchblack light. I actually couldnt see the car in the viewfinder so I had to have my buddy flash my truck lights on it just to make sure I was focused. Anyone know how to get the stars out of there and still getting the light that the camera pulled out of its ass. Thanks

#4 is my favorite shot of the group. And I agree that yellow lighting sucks, so you need to eithet start shooting RAW to mess with the white-balance or find a place that doesn't have the crappy yellow lights.

And once you get past a second long exposure at night there's no way (that I know of) to get rid of the stars other then to try and Photoshop them out which would be a pain. What setting was the camera on? I usually shoot on shutter priority and pick an exposure time and my night shots dont have stars anywhere near as big as the ones in your shots.

This was with a 300D and was a 3.2 second exposure (according to the EXIF) at f16 and as you can see there are stars but they are much, much smaller.
