Does this shot look sexy or cheap and do you think the background colour works?

This is just a test shot and the final shot I will use both studio lights to eliminate the shadow.

It doesnt really work for me but a few people I have showed said it really worked for them.

Does it work? If so why? If not? then why not?

Cheers

My amateur opinion...

It's not cheap, but short of really sexy. I do like the shot though and you have an attractive, natural looking model, so I think it works overall.

She is very sexy, but the shot - no sorry not for me.

The eye contact is great, but the pose looks awkward and her hair is falling right out of the frame.

Also no catchlights in the eyes

to look cheap the strap of the model's top would need to be falling down, or she's would be taking off her jeans, or her tongue would be licking her lips, or something to that effect. also and perhaps most importantly there is a genuine innocence in her expression which can never look cheap.

sexy? well playful is more the feeling that i get when looking at this photo. maybe there is something too bright about the background (which does not work for me) and the photo that cancels out any sort of sexy feeling.

i agree about her hair flying out of the photo; i'd like to see all of it in the photo as well as perhaps a slightly less awkward pose.

Good insight from all and NGOTB.

I may be out of touch with your target audience ! But it seems to me that the quality (cheap) and attribute (sexy) are intertwined.

To my eyes, the top just does not go with Blue Jeans -- sorry. It might go with leather pants.

So, I find they clash. As NGOTH said it is not cheap -- but it is also not classy with the jeans.

Take it from there!

I think a softer focus and less light would probably make it sexier.
