G2 and Rear Curtain Sync?

Hello all,
Do any of you know if the G2 can be made to work with the rear curtain sync? I may not be using the term correctly, but I want the flash to fire just as the shuter closes instead of after it opens. I figure if it can do it, it will take a xyz external flash to accomplish it, but I don't know for sure. Anyone else know?

I have not confirmed this myself, but someone on another forum was able to set the Canon 550EX this way with G2. The 420EX has the capability, but the 420EX has no manual controls and the G2 can't select 2nd Curtain Sync.

The 550EX can be set manually.
