Today I received my 16mm Zenitar Fish Eye lens. I ordered it about 2 weeks ago from Russia. The lens is manual only and came with an EOS adapter ring and 3 filters. The filters are Red, Green and Yellow. Anyone have any idea what these filters are for. The lens came with a booklet, but I can't read Russian.
BTW the lens works great. It's a fun inexpensive lens, if you don't mind manual mode.

Colored lenses are typically for b&w photography although you can get some interesting effects using them for color. For instance, the yellow filter will make spring time daylight shots more vibrant. The blue can bring out an oceanic shot. The red can intensity browns like in an autumn shot. Red can also warm skin tones (unless it's RED red). THe possibilities are endless really.
But, I imagine those were shipped with the lens for B&W purposes. But, ya never know for sure! unless you find someone who can read Russian that is.
