Well, they weren't actually playing anything, just happened to shout out to me as i was finishing a shoot for the local theatre company.
Nothing special, but thought i would share.

That's really a nice shot! I'm sure they would love to use it for promotion, CD covers, etc.
My only nit to pick is that the sousaphone shaded parts of the trumpet player.

I wasn't in a studio as such... its sort of a long story, but the basics:
I was doing a big shoot with the local costume hire place with people modelling off costumes etc., (8 hrs, 1300 images!), and these guys were doing a show in the theatre next to where we were shooting. During intermission they came over and asked if they could get some pics as it was a new lineup. So they came back after i had finished shooting the costumes and voila. Some extra cash for the kitty on-top of my days work.
It was shot on a white paper roll (which is a little worse for wear after having models trampling across it all day), two strobes on them, two on the paper. Basically a studio setup, even if i did have trouble with the fluorescents overhead that they couldn't turn off (or the models would be getting changed in the dark).
I know this isn't the usual sort of stuff for this forum, but hey

Thanks Curtis. Yeah, they have bought the images for use on signage and stuff, so they are obviously happy with them too.
I didn't notice that shadow till afterwards, but atleast it is on his head, not his face i guess...

Thanks!
I posed them. Not that it took too much... just some basic positioning.
