The competitive club cricket season started today. So, in traditional style, I made a flying visit to a game prior to shooting some football. 30 mins was my maximum shooting time and I was tasked with getting some stock as well. Fortunately, from a 'newsworthiness' viewpoint, there were some bails flying on the fourth ball of the day. Jubbly.

Well, if he hadn't jumped so high and hadn't had such an awkward color on his bat he might have protected the wicket, eh? :-) 2X on the 400mm ... on a monopod? Do you have a donkey to haul that monster around with you?

... and I hope you shot EVERY ball before and after the fourth one! That's seems to me the only way I will ever get a shot like that anyway. Cracking photo Gavin.

First day of the season, how the &*%$ did you get your timing that good by the fourth ball!:p

Cracker of a shot - a standard to aspire to.

gmen, you must be looking forward to the new season.

Down under, we finished back in April so I thought I share my favourite shot of the season, our opening bowler getting hit in the arse.
