i think it is a grackle - either way, i like the shot of this "evil" looking feathered friend...

Thanks Troy. I don't think we have grackles here. I've seen them in Texas, but I'm in Oregon. I've never heard of them here. I looked in my bird book and it loos like the female Brewer's Blackbird. Any experts care to weigh in further?

Brewer's Blackbird it is. Nice shot with great low angle.
