o.k. i got a few replies to my last post and i see in the pro world of photography (which i understand as i am a pro musician) the sky is the limit. so in all honesty based on my last post is it possibly to get an entry level digital for pro purposes even though a student in the $500 or less range ? i do see them when i shop i.e. canon S50 for $435 but i am getting replies on the forum in the 300d and 10d $1000 to $1500 range. thanks

I doubt you're going to find a G5 for $500 or less. A G3 will be in that range probably, but it's not a digital SLR either. It has a few optional lenses, but not really for professional work.

Holy crap. Don't spam the forums with questions. One thread may take a bit longer to get response from, but you'll get a lot more of it and a more stream-lined type of response rather than 10 fragments. Please don't do this again.
