Nice Photos. IMHO, a great place to start.

From the technical point of view, you probably want to start considering hosting options without so much advertisement, it takes away from the presentation and view of your material.

Another Technical improvement, would be improved navigation buttons, I found it hard to simply navigate from one full image to the next one, or back to the main page.

And lastly on the technical side, as you add more material, find a better way to display the different Categories. I actually struggle with the same thing, some of my pics are of events, and others of objects, while others maybe focus on motion or lights, etc. Sorting into categories, choosing the right pics, and presenting the galleries in an appealing manner is usually a long time process, but it is worth it, and the end results are worth the wait, clicking, and work.

Other than that, I would have approached the CD photo a bit flatter, making use of the light patterns (a properly positioned light -even a flashlight- can make the CD project almost symetric and colorful patterns). I really liked the photos around the world, and the post-production of the Fruits and Vegetables.
