so last friday i see that they had refurb 10Ds.

i checked their site and said IN STOCK.

so i ordered friday nite.

sunday, i get an email saying to call them to tell them what business name and phone i had listed to ship to? (never had that happen before). delay #1

i reply in email to just ship to home address (billing address).

tuesday (monday was labor day), i call to clear things up. salesman say my order just went through. expect to get email confirm about shipping info.

thursday, still nothing, i call. NOW they tell me all sold out and he "yells" to his boss (i can hear him talking to someone) and comes back to the phone saying they will get them in monday. WTH?!?

following so far?

this morning (friday), i get voicemail on phone number i left them saying they are trying to get in touch with me. no reason as to why???? GRRRRRRRR

i get to work and i find on fridays they close early. so me on the west coast, i miss them.

i also see i get new email from another sales person. i reply back since email said they want to "discuss" something about my order. again no friggin REASON!!!!!!!!

i heard nothing but praises from everyone here for adorama... am i just hitting a week of bad luck from all sorts of customer service (you DONT wanna know how my entire labor day weekend was ruined by COMCAST cable...)

I've been to Adorama. It's a seedy little store with a fancy web site. They happen to be about 17 blocks from B and H. They're no B and H. They usually don't tell you on their web site what's in stock. Go a little further uptown to B and H. This is my personal opinion. Others may differ.(Disclaimer to avoid lawsuit)

I really agree with your experience.

I orderd my 28-135 mm Is lens and after three days when I called them to enquire about the staus of shipment, they said " card number what I gave did not work". I checked in my bank and they said, they was a request for $395/- to be charged on my credit card.

I called these guys and told them and they said in a very bad manner, they cannot do anything and if i want to cancel my order I can cancel it.

I bought it from B&H from the store. I have not bought anythign from thier website.

I've placed a couple of orders from Adorma (including my 10D and 28-135mm lens), and have never had a problem. I've also ordered from B&H without any issues, but they weren't as friendly on the telephone when I had a question.

Anyway, I'm sorry that you're having a difficult time, and I agree... Comcast sucks!
