This is a buttefly I found in a wildlife conservation area here in FL. It was a very brilliant butterfly - much brighter than the rest. I'm not sure what kind of butterfly it is. The picture has not been brightened or saturated and it was not taken in vivd mode. The butterfly was just very bright and colorful. Let me know what you think.

This is indeed a very beautiful shot. Very, very rich colors.

It might be cropped a bit.

In an ideal world, the stem might have served as a left to right lead in -- but that might have reduced the purples which seem to calm the greens. I might desaturate the orange a tad -- but I am viewing with a bright moitor.

Reminds me of the "Orange Crush" soft drink of days gone by.

Thanks Howie. I thought about cropping it a bit..I may have to experiment a bit and see how it looks. As far as desaturating - I could try it but the butterfly was naturally bright so desaturating would take away from how it really looked. I'll see how it looks though.

Thanks for the comments :)

yes, perhaps a tad bit of cropping on an otherwise beautiful shot. i love the brightness and the orange of your butterfly.
