I finally had a couple minutes to take the lens out---weather wasn't great and neither was the light, but here's a couple bird shots with the 2x TC in place. One of them might have had the 1.4x TC in place too, I can't remember.

Wow, that's pretty darn good with it 2X TC on it. I have a Sigma 1.4X TC and you really can't tell if its there. I might have to invest in a 2x TC as well.
Question, how was the AF with the 2X TC on ?

It was fine...very fast. But the AF with the TCs stacked was MUCH slower.

Holy dust, Batman!
Very nice shots. For having a 2X on, those are great! Any chance of a crop? :-D

Yeah, I know, I need to have my sensor cleaned. I am gonna go do it before we head out for our trip this summer.
What do you mean any chance of a crop? Sorry, I don't get it.

I meant to say "Is there any chance we could see a 100% crop of that last shot, say, to show sharpness?"
