I'm looking to get the Sigma 20mm f/1.8 EX lens for my D30. My only other lens is a Canon 28-200usm. Does anyone have any advice/feedback or some pictures that you can share concerning this lens? I love shooting street shots in Paris, and with the cramped area, a Wide-angle is necessary.
Thanks.

I just read an excellent review of it, it received very high marks.
I have no idea what publication, sorry.

Petersen's Photographic gave it a rave review,. they had a photo taken inside an office building,. with cubicles and a low hung ceiling... THERE WAS NO VISIBLE BARREL DISTORTION! None! The line where ceiling met wall was straight as an arrow! All the lines were straight. And this was using 35mm film,. on a digital with a 1.6 crop, the most distorted areas of the lens (outside edge) won't even be used.

Thank you littlebike and cyberdynesystems. Those comments sound promising. I'll go check out B&H's price.
I just read the review at photographic.com, and feel impressed with it's review.

I own a Sigma 1.8 FX AND I LOVE IT. I had kind of forgotten about it after I bought the 14mm fx but I find the 20mm 1.* a great lens it is sharp and clear and the best part works well in low light situations. Again I have no complaints. It is a nice wide angle. I used it Shooting a wedding for group shots and just some interesting set ups that I could not have gotten wtherwise.
