Here are two shots from my first portrait session...i have one large soft box as my only light source. I used a 20d with an 18-55mm lens and then worked on them in photoshop of course. I am very new to photography(6mos as a helper in a studio and with weddings) and would appreciate any input on how to imrove my portraits. I love photographing children but it is definately hard to get them to stand still long enought to get a good shot

Cute child and cute shots. I do love the conversion in the first one.
I think children this age do better sitting down. The lighting looks a lil bright to me.

i like the one to the left, it looks like it was taken along time ago, the one to the right is interesting, but the left is my favorite, good job

Thanks for the input...i thought it looked kind of bright myself...how can i improve that in the next shoot? maybe not brighten it up so much in photoshop?
