That's a great sunrise picture. I am looking for some flaws to critque, but I can't seem to find any. Great job.
Did you manipulate the colors in photoshop at all? I love playing with sun rise/set colors in Photoshop. Here's my take on your photo. I took out a little of the orange and made the pic a little more blue.

Although the PS version looks cool, I much prefer the original. To me a sunrise (and sometimes sunset, especially on the water) is very orange, yellow, sometimes brown or red, but never blue, purple, or green. It's the orange warmth that draws me in.
Very well done.

This is a fantastic photo, Rissanen. The composition and depth of field are very good and the colour is stunning. Very well done.

Lovely shot and great colors. Some minor points:
- clone away the bird
- try next time (oh, so easy said) to bracket the pictures, so that you have a few with different exposures. Than combine them in PS. This will take care of the burned out spot of the sun. Obviously you need a tripod with this technique.

I too like the new colour version but much prefer the warmth of the original. Fantastic job, I like the ratio of water to sky, and the colours work for me.
I'm no expert but i think its a very nice picture.

This is a beautiful sunrise.

Even so, there is room to strengthen the composition. The sun and the foreground -- while beautiful -- do not work together to create maximum impact through the use of frame, subject interest, balance, line and other image maximizers. The mood of course is lovely.

Lovely shot. I like the bird coming into the frame (though a little more off the edge please...)
The mist, clouds and sun all work together for a great ambiance. Having a circular sun would have been nice, and the blown out area around it is a distraction, but it's minor.
The colour altered shot does saturate the colours more, and makes it more vibrant, but I think the shot works better with more tanquil colours and warmer tones.

I like the shot just as it is, burned out sun, bird, and all.

Question to the taker regarding the "burned out" sun: Is the sun really burned out, or, are we seeing glare through the mist. From the way it looks to me, I seem to think that the disk of the sun was not visible in the mist. In any event, I love the shot, especially the tweaked version (blue water).
