Night Photography

I get to drive around the fence line at my work on night shifts and sometimes manage to get close enough to the owls and tawny frogmouths to take a photo. I only have the flash that is on my EOS300D and 200mm lens.

I do apologise about the pic size, It is something I have yet to master and will not let it happen again.

Nice images under the conditions, scnapper. Fun to see these guys when they're in most favorable conditions (night) and trying to rustle up some grub. They sure don't have much in the way of a comfortable perch, do they? Those talons are better suited to be grabbing a tree limb rather than the tip top of a pole. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, that is pretty cool. I would invest in a external flash if you are getting such good results here think what you could be doing with a decent flash. Well done and thanks again for sharing.

Very interesting shots and I agree a flash would be a good investment. Still pretty good though for on board flash.

These are some neat shots. I have thought about trying some after dark shots also. I like the results and I do beleive an external could help things out. Nice series and nice to see some thinking outside the box!!!!
