Further to my other thread about the Gumball Rally http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?p=1465578#post1465578

Whilst waiting around for things to happen i decided to snap a few pics of the police :)

Here are a few from the day.

And finally, close up of the badge

When i took the last pic, the officer didn't appreciate the flash going off in their face. I'll remember to check it next time ;)

Nice shots.

Question: With all that's happened in London, do the police now carry guns? If so, do any carry in full view or all concealed?

Hi, thanks for the comments,

The police have been carrying guns for a while now (about five years or more), and yes in some places they do make it visible, around government buildings, airports etc.

In some ways it is scary, but then also reassuring.

At the Gumball event yesterday there wasn't any police who were armed (well, none that was visible)
