Have they lost quality in compression? Look a little pixellated to me...

Kinda thought the same thing about the pixelation...
Not to worry.. ya can use another program to clean them up again a little....
Ya gotta love that hairpin on the track... when i lived in Edinburgh a while back i was up there on a fairly regular basis...
Got photos of track days and the likes.... was even allowed to go down to 1 of the "private" Ferari track days and take a few shots aswell....
Some savage shots to b gotten there,
Neil

Get that shutter speed down - you'll then get a sense of movement as the wheels and background will blur a little..

if you got 873 photos on one card (i assume) with all that pixelation, have you got your 350d picture quality set to coarse?

all i did was transport the pics into Photoshop as they are 22MB and then adjusted the auto levels - changed the size to 800x600 and then save as small file - level 2
should i possibly have saved as a large file ?
the pics looked 10 times greater before i compressed the files
I took my laptop with me that day and filled 3 1gb cards
Please remember i am still a novice and getting used to real photography

ignore my diagnosis then :)
when you say level 2, do you mean the jpg quality was level 2 (goes from 1-12) ?
if so then thats your problem. I would recommend level 8 for websites

Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing the photos :) I am sure they did look much better before you uploaded them. I don't use photoshop personally, but there are people on here who can help you with optimising your shots for web display. Do a search and if that doesn't turn up anything then start a thread in the "RAW, Post processing and printing" section.
As to the photos themselves, they show promise. You've made a good choice of angle and framing and you've caputred some nice action in number 3. Take note of what Andy said about your shutter speeds though. Number 2 is a classic case of "car parked on the circuit".
I'm looking forward to seeing more shots from you.

In Photoshop try "Save for Web". When the window opens resize the images to 800 x ???? (it automatically keeps the aspect ratio). Finally adjust the quality slider so the image size is just less than 100K. You can then upload them to something like Pbase and link the images from there.
Hope this helps.

There is a cracking free programme from Google called Picasa. It is not a replacement for Photoshop or Rawshooter but it turns out good looking web images (File export 800 pixels at 72dpi).
Reads raw files (not 30D) or jpegs. Worth a look and perhaps a repost.
Free so you have nothing to loose - put picasa in to google
Cheers Dave

that was your problem, you saved them as LEVEL 2, save them as LEVEL 8. would look much better as badgerbaiter said :)
