There was one really beautiful evening in Dresden. It had been cloudy and rainy, then about 30 minutes before the sun went down the clouds cleared and left a beautiful deep turquoise sky. I counted at least a half dozen other with tripods running around trying to get shots before the light was gone.

This is the Zwinger (pronounced Tsving-er), constructed in stages from 1710 to 1728 under the rule of August the Strong, Ruler of Saxony. It serves as one of the world foremost museums for framed art, sculpture, armor, jewels and porcelain.

I loved the way the blue light from the sky contrasted with the building's distinctive orange incandescent lighting. I got about 15 shots before the sky became too dark.

Here are my 3 favorite shots from that group.
