Hi
This one had to get a fair whack of retouching as the steps were underexposed due to wanting a correct exposure on the house. I had to work to get minimum noise on the stonework. I'm quite pleased with the result as I think it almost has a paining quality about it. What do you think?

regards
Martin.

Again another grand shot from Martin.

I'm not sure about 'paining' quality, but the conflict between cool shadows, and the warm sun light is great.

I also like the way the steps are echoed in the roof lines of several buildings, and in other places too.

The sky is lovely.

The only trouble I have with this shot is that my eye gravitates to the partialy shown doorway of the building across the way. It's so bright. It's a minor point, but if that was burned in, to darken it, the eye could easily overlook it.

Had you thought of this as a black and white image? The colors are very nice, but it would be a dramatic B&W.

I can't quite decide, but I also might crop a few of the bottom steps, and have a little less dark space, balancing it more with the bright above.

Nice work bringing out the detail of the steps.
