I tried to apply everything you guys suggested.

Jamie, I made sure to not put two color images in a row and to have the more romantic photos in the end (I cant figure out how to time a certain photo with a certain spot in the music yet)

Tim, I did the framing (but are there any other frame options besides this thin line?) and I put my website int he end. I also let the music go a little longer (cant believe I figured out how to..lol)

Let me know how this is? I know I still have lots to learn, but I really like the idea of giving slideshows and I want to do this the best I can!

Which show should we look at? That link points to two.

How do you do a show without the "click here to play" button? I never figured that out.

Tim its the "small wedding" one.

I am not sure what you mean about "click here to play" button. What I do: I safe the slideshow on my computer, then go to photodex.com, then "online sharing" and upload that slide onto photodex. The way you see it is how it comes up for me... dont know what I do right or wrong yet

All my online shows show a title screen, you have to click to continue. Yours does this time too... you should give your shows a title :p

Comments:
- First slide should fade in.
- If you use a border set the size of each slide to 96% or something so you can see a small border around it. If it's for a TV choose "fit to safe zone" otherwise it runs off the edges of the screen.
- Guys over 22 who wear collars made from a different fabric than the rest of their shirt need to be taken aside and given instructions how to dress.
- I don't like how quickly the music fades out. I'd make it a bit slower.
- Some white bal problems earlier in the show.

Hope that helps :)

Here's some tips I find useful

1. Don't just have your show running as one image after another.....
2. Break this up with motion (rotation/zoom in/zoom out)
3. Creating motion adds interest. Just not too much though! :-)
4. Make one slide run into another (look at the End Motion option (it's in Presenter not sure about Gold). This allows you to have more than one image on a screen at any one time (without the need for layers) and with motion too if you like.
5. Use different transition timings - some longer some short
6. Don't make all of your images full screen. Use smaller zoomed images and motion to add some interest.
7. Use the fit to safe zone option for creating DVDs for viewing on a TV or some of the images will be cropped around the edges.

I have found some of these things usually add a bit more interest to a show. The show you have made is good and as you learn, your shows will get better and you'll want to expand your knowledge. Proshow Producer is the way to go. I've used this and it's amazing. The addition of layers is a wonderful highlight of this software over Gold. I'll perhaps post a link to one of mine when I get a chance.

Can't do 4 without presenter. I don't personally like 5 much, or too much zooming around/in/out. Re 7 you need different shows for the web and for DVD. I went the whole zooming/panning/fancy way, now i'm back to a simple show that doesn't do any of that stuff, with mostly B&W images, so the focus is on the images not a "gee whiz" show. That's just me though.

Thanks for all the comments again. There is still so much that I need to learn on this program that I didnt even know you can do, so I appreciate every input.

Tim, I am laughing my royal butt off about your third advice :)

i agree with tim on some of his comments, espesh for a "Wedding sample" you are focused on the "Photos" themselves rather than the fancy stuff, i do the fancy stuff in my slideshows if people pay for them like that...panning, zooming etc. is done for clients weddings as their DVD but for a sample thing what you have done song is great. But like others said, make the images smaller because they are off screen, i use the safe guide for all my shows!

Ok, guys you got me working now. I did the suggested changes but cant figure out for the world how to make the first slide fade in.

I added a intro slide, I made the pics smaller and I let the music fade out longer. Getting any better?

Keep the suggestions coming :)

P.S I deleted the old one and uploaded the new one if you want to look at it again

Put a blank slide before the current first slide, make its duration 0.1 seconds with a 1 second (or whatever) transition time.

I agree you dont need that whole "GeeWhiz" thing. Just a few subtle movements makes for a nicer flow through your show.

I just purchased prosho gold and made a slideshow for a friend. These were pictures from somebody else that was at the wedding. I was not there taking pictures. Anyway I made a slideshow of about 130 pictures with 4 songs with random transitions. My friend and his wife were floored by the slideshow and how it turned ordinary pictures into a almost movie-like production. I did it as a favor for my friend and he said I should start doing this for others and start charging. I do kids sports photos and thought this program would make some killer dvds. What kinda prices should I quote for one of these shows? I know there should be two different prices because one of them they handed me the pictures and I did do a little red eye work. The other would be with me taking the pictures at a weddings or sports event. Any guidance in this area would be helpful.
