300D Street price drop UK

Interesting to see the street price for the 300D kit (i.e. + 18-55mm lens) drop from the original £999.99 to £844.99.

Still not a retail camera in sight .....

My local Dixons had four of five of them sitting in the glass cabinets they use as the counter for the camera section on saturday, but there didn't seem to be a price on them, so I'm not sure there were for sale :S (and not being in the market for one had no reason to ask)
There was a sticker on them about a £30 rebate offer from Canon though.

Wonder how Dixons got them so quickly. No sign of the retail models anywhere else, or does someone else know better.
