I no longer use this product as it has been discontinued and is no longer supported... Not sure why...

With cynical, you mean you believe that they are not honest etc. because they need to say that explicitly on their website? I think that's a bit far fetched and that you're indeed too cynical. Why expect the worst? Did you try any of their products? Did you have problems with them?

This is just spam. If granddad is so convinced, why not post a few examples here? I guess he's counting the money.

Perhaps one doesn't like someone elses values being pressed upon them, but if that is not the reason, then why put them there? Are they part of the EULA of the software?
I suppose in America it is so common, it isn't noticed any more. Americans seem to think they are so exemplary and original, whereas such "statements" are no different psychologically and in intent than Quotations of Chairman Mao, Lenin or the Koran. One of the reasons why I wouldn't want to live there. I'm personally allergic to such stuff.
