got my 100-400 L wow

finaly got my 100-400 today.
had to cancel my web order as i was told canon uk cant give a delivery date.
london camera exchange in manchester said an 8 week wait.
rang calumet in manchester who informed me that the liverpool branch had one in stock. 100 mph drive over there netted me the nice shiny lens.
but then the shock. its not white.
every one goes on about the big white lenses and they are more of a gray colour.
had a couple of hours out with it and wow.sharp and the 400 mm focal lenth with the 1.6 crop on the 350 is ammazing.
ill post some pics when i get the chance.
up tp now it looks like i got a good copy

LOL.. was reading the post on signatures just after i posted this..
think ill have to squash it down a little

It's more of an eggshell/creme color. I like it much more than if it were snow white. Couldn't look at one on a sunny day if it were white.

Plus it being white-ish can tell you when it is dusty. Hmm but not when you got dandruff on it. :(

but all the pics on the net look white.
even the guy who put a pic up last week of his new 100-400 . that looked white.
but hey who cares its the quality that counts.
was out for a couple of hours tonight and it didnt half turn a few heads.
even the lads on the skate / bmx park wanted to know what magazine i was shooting for
