experimental bike blur

Took this a few years ago at a mountain bike race in Vermont. I don't remember the settings but I think I was using Fuji Velvia at a slow shutter speed and flash as I panned with the rider. C&C welcome.

looks kind of impressionist, not quite sure what to make of it. At first I did not like it, but it is growing on me. Very interesting color.

I think you need some sharp elements in there to hold the viewer's attention.
