Are you talking about the adaptor? ive seen a titanium on on a forum somewhere, never looked into it because i already had the standard one.
Are you looking for the tele, wide or marco lens?
Tele i have seen range from a the standard 2.4canon to a kenko 5x and this one in the g3 section which is 8x.
All of these i coudn't buy in australia so they were out of the question so as for three wuality i'm not sure, but there sample images are great.
My only thoughs is depends on how much u wanna spend, how far u will be zooming (to avoid vig) and if ur willing ot buy off the net.
With non standard ones you'll need a step up/down ring as as far as i know will increase the vigenneting.

well basically i'm was going to buy the canon adaptor lense but i'm open to other lense brands, basically i'm trying to get a feel for reliable lense manufacurers,
i'd like to get all three, wide angle/telephoto/macro
(i'm just a casual snap-shooter) so i'm not looking for all the fancy stuff, just a good decent set of lenses from a reliable maker. hope this clears it up
thanks again

can anyone else recommend other lenses for the canon a70?

I think you're talking about converters. On some regular cameras (film) you can remove the existing lens and attach a different one (ie. telephoto) but on the A70 (digital), you screw on an adapter to the outside, then attach a 2nd "lens" on top of the existing one (teleconverter, vs telephoto).
I've played around with some. They all have their advantages and disavantages. It's really just personal preference and what you plan to use the converter for.
There are some designed for use with the A70 (see www.powershot.com, and there are others (scopes, monoculars, etc) that you CAN use with the camera if you so chose to do. :)
