Learning my new 70-200 L f4.0. It's a general "junk" train cruising through Brookfield, WI enroute to Milwaukee, WI.

1/1000s, Av, f8.0, ISO 400, focal 100mm.

One mans junk is another’s treasure. I happen to like manifest trains. The only thing wrong is it was shot from the dark side of the train.

You're right on both counts. The treeline on the opposite berm wouldn't allow for the shot - I only had this lens. I was in the adjacent park trying my luck on bird shots when the train came by.

Thanks for the feedback!

Man you brid guys seem to be conveting to railfans. I figured you were pretty much stuck with the angle you used. Benn in that situtation many times.

Actually, that was my first (and probably) last attempt at bird photography. Darn things never stay in one place very long.

I've done a pretty good amount of rail photography over the years. You know how difficult it is sometimes to get a good angle and shot.

I went looking for eagles in NY state and got the BNSF, It's great to catch them when you are not looking for them, Much better than the birds!,( they are already in this forum so I won't post again)
