I tried to capture some rain drops on blades of grass today, this was the best of the bunch but somehow it disappoints, seems a bit ordinary.
Any tips on best settings to use how to make the image more interesting, should I use mirror lockup to ensure sharpness?

You could try to focus on the BG through the drops. Or even focus stack! I think the pic is nice :D

great shot, looks good... but, seriously, how intresting can drops of rain on grass be? I think you got it as good as its gonna get!

Thanks chaps, it's funny, having downsized it and applied some more sharpening it's grown on me (excuse the pun.)

Looks good to me :)
You may find you can get more interesting refractions through the drop if the background is closer like the shot below.
