I've seen a lot of posts regarding the conversion of RAW images. Can't you just bring a RAW image directly into Photoshop without converting using the 10D provided software or another program like C1LE? (I'm not sure if I got the name of that one right.)

There is an Adobe RAW converter. I have never looked into it as I am quite happy with what I have. From what I understand though is that you sitll have to use the Adobe converter routine to convert to TIFF, JPG, etc so that you can open in Photoshop.
I abandoned the Canon software a long time ago and have both Breezebrowser and Capture One. I like the controls better in Capture One but BB seems to be much quicker.

I think the RAW plug-in for photoshop costs around $100 .. believe it works with the 10D but not with the G5 or 300D ... ?? excuse my poor memory

The photoshop plugin works with 1D & D60 but not the 10D unless you make some alterations to the program.
adobe will support the 10D whenPhotoshop * comes out. this is bunk they should have a patch that is downloadable. If you pay for everything at list it's about 800 bucks anf it dosent support the 10 d
