To say it rained is perhaps something of an understatement.

Although there are 6 karts visible in the picture there are another 14 in the spray all heading in to the 1st hairpin.

I think this guy had a few handling problems. Lots of over steer going in to the "S" and looking at the front of the kart he has been doing a little grass tracking.

I couldn't quite get the angle for the full reflection - This is Mike Simpson who drove away from the pack in the 2nd heat.

I'm not sure that a tinted visor was actually required :D

Drivers eye view of the spray if you are in the pack

and last but not least, this made me smile :D Came up the inside of him and pushed him wide (quite legal), then checks to make sure he held it ....

Nice shots , I think the rain made these pics. I like No1 best then 4.
I used to race Karts and practising in the wet and ice made for good car control later in life, dont feel so good if your standing in it all day.

I only made it until the end of the 2nd round of heats and then whimped out. One of those days when the water just gets in everywhere even through the water proofs.

You right about the rain - it does add an extra dimension

Thank you.

All of these were taken with a 300mm F2.8. Shutter Priority 340/sec ISO200. Centre point focus on a 20D. I'm really impressed with the prime. I "binned" about 50 images from 300 today which is better than the bin rate with my 100-400L :o
