This competition is a way of showcasing your best photographs from the last year. Its all in the name of fun so please don't take it too seriously! Everyone is welcome to enter and I look forward to seeing all the great submissions!

Prizes! UncleDoug has very kindly offered to send the winner, free of charge, a 18x27 print of your winning photo on either PhotoSemiGloss, hot or cold press rag or gloss canvas.

Entry requirements:
The photo must have been taken in the 12 months preceding the closing date
The photo must not have been entered in the 2004/2005 POTN photographer of the year contest
Each member may submit one photo to each of the contests
This photo may be changed at any time up to the closing date for submissions
Post processing - nothing that substantially changes the original composition of the image.
Photos must be no larger than 800 pixels at the longest dimension and a maximum of 200kb
No framing of pictures, text or copyright notices.

Please include your username when you send me the photo

Question. You said no framing... can I still use a black boarder around my image. Its kinda my style.

Kayes - I know where you're coming from, but I'm afraid no borders means just that. However, you'll find that the pbase gallery adds a framing effect anyway and therefore, you'll find it will actually look better if you don't add your own borders.

Is there a reason for my picture (sent twice at a week distance) is not in the gallery ? If its not being accepted, I have nothing against it, but I would like to know... :(

Rob, not sure what's going on but I definately haven't received either versions of your photo. PM me with a link if you have it online, otherwise try sending it again and I'll let you know when it arrives.

Sorry folks, I was away for the weekend. All photos are no online with the exception of those that - 1. did not comply with size regulations (if this is you, please can you adjust and re-send). 2. Didn't qualify as an abstract (I'll email those affected directly).

.... and remember only 2 days left to go! :D

All photos that I have received are now online. Two photos (including yours Beautiful Irony) were intercepted by my spam filter and so I didn't see them. These are now online, but I will wait 24 hrs before starting the voting to give everyone a chance to check that their photo is online. Please check that your photo is online and let me know urgently if this is not the case
