This turned out to be harder than I thought. Getting good crisp pics in LOUSY lighting... with performers who won't stand still... :) and waitresses that insist on serving drinks!

Oh well.. its my very first attempt at concert pics.. any and ALL suggestions welcome! I need all the help I can get. :D

The basics are a 350 XT, 28-135mm IS. The EXIF seems to have been lost in the web publication prior to posting.

Not that you asked, but my only real complaint about these images is they they are over corrected. If the local was dark and moody, it isn't showing in the images. There is always a debat about how much correction one should do to correct for the show lights. My wife and I are on polar oposites on this one. She likes them looking normal like you have hear. I like them looking like they really did in the venue.... blue - green - what ever. It is personal preference and I guess no answer is the absolute answer.

Otherwise - well captured providing the condidtions you describe.

Croasdail - You are perfectly correct... stage left was washed in a Green light that showed on all of the pics of the bass player -- he is a good friend, and it is him you are looking at in these pics. Half of his face looked like he was on the Munsters. So I corrected them (CS2 taking green saturation to -60 did it). Thanks for the input... I will show him and the rest of the band both versions and let them decide.

Maybe if he's your friend you could ask to get closer. It's what I did for these...
