I have a 5d with a 24-105L which was purchased at xmas. My Brother in law has a Nikon d70s. and I must say that right out of the camera the pics are much sharper. I am just starting to adjust myself to rthe post processing drill needed to perfect the shots I select. However It would be nice to have even more in camera sharpness available for those events that are just too casual for the extra work... ie. kids trackteam meets, swimmeets, birthday partys (not our own) often I will go and take a hundred shots of events like these for the other parents/kids/coaches then just hand them a cd with all the shots to use as they see fit. So when they see them on thier computer, a little extra sharpness will make them look great. any thoughts

you should be able to adjust the sharpness, saturation etc in one of the functions of the camera.

yay for internet: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canoneos5d/page9.asp

your manual should also tell you how to adjust this
