S45 poor macro ..

I bought the S400 and after using it for a week decided I would rather have more manual controls...so I exchanged for the S45 - but I was disappointed. No matter what I did, the S45 just WOULD NOT focus as well as the S400 did, and I found I was deleting more pictures than I actually kept because most of them were blurry or bad quality! And I had my settings on max, had excellent lighting - but the macro was terrible! I notice the quality of my S400 pics were MUCH better than the S45 ones =/

Has anyone else had issues with focusing and macro settings on the S45??

I don't understand.... I have a S45, but no problem with the macro...

But i've notice one thing... don't zoom! When I zoom while doing a macro my picture get blurry. So that might be your problem.

I get as close as possible to the object (10cm) and I take the picture from there.

I might suggest you to buy a close up lens if you need larger close up.
