Decided to practice shooting wide open with my 85mm on my kiddos:) I am going to have to print these!! I really love them...blowouts and all;)

looks good to me. I think the overblown areas look good and add a sense of style to the shots. Some get all caught up on the technical tid bits and forget the most important thing. Does it look good and convey a sense of feeling. I think the shots here do.

They are very nice, the blowouts do not distract me at all...I too must practise using my 85mm more. Is it the 1.8 or 1.4 version?

Very nice, and the overexposure doesn't detract.

I really like the fourth and fifth, they really convey innocence and solitude.

I rotated my laptop and think that #2 would be better vertical, but that's just my opinion of course.

Great shots. I love the DOF of the 85mm... I wouldn't trade mine for anything.

OUT FRIGG'IN STANDING. One better than the next. I love everything about them, the framing, the lighting, the cropping. Beautiful.

THe blow outs are absolutely fine in these... It' lends to they style of photos taken. These are awesome! I love your compositions and the colors are so perfect! Great job and I'm happy to have found them! :)

The fifth image is a winner, the little girl peering around the corner is such a natural in this shot. Including the one on the stool in both colour and black and white, the expressions are priceless. Fantastic photos.

Im not feeling the blow outs, but if you were doing it on purpose, then you did an excellent job!

These are the best darn candid kid portraits I've seen! I love the colors, the focus and sharpness on their eyes... I can't pick a favorite. They are all wonderful.
