Hello, can anyone here tell me what I need to do, in order to take my rapid fire motion shots and compose them to one picture? I have tried everything and no mater what i do i can't get it to work. No one has been able to tell me how. they are used in the skate and snow board scene quite often to show the hole jump with uot the rider in blur but as if they cut and pasted him to one picture at different locations but i know this in not the case. Please help anyone!

It helps if you used a tripod. That way you can just add the photos together in layers and remove what you do not need. Basically just punch a hole in each layer to expose what you want underneath.

I'm not sure, but I think what you may be looking for is a strob effect on your flash. If you can get an external flash that can strob (say fire a burst of say 15 shots at 1/10 second apart) and you use this on a timed exposure (here it would be 1.5 seconds)
This will give you the multiple layers you're looking for all in one shot - ready to print.

If the background is dark, this is likely how this shot is done (frequently used for golf or tennis swings)
