Question about software for 350D and 300D

I have a 300D, and today (oh boundless joy!) I just got my 350D. I use a card reader and the ZoomBrowserEX, and this will not read RAW files from the 350D. If I uninstall it and install the software for the 350D, is that compatible with the RAW files from the 300D?

Yes, the newer versions of the Canon software - ZB and DPP - support all the previous camera models. Moreover, it is worth checking the Canon website to see if what you received with the XT are the latest versions. The newest ZB is only slightly improved (most of the new features are accessable only to 5D, etc. users) but the new version of DPP (2.1) is much better than 1.6.

I don't use zoombrowser, but you might want to take a look at Canon's website and see if there is an update for zoombrowser. If you are using the original version that came with your 300d that might be the reason it doesn't recognize the xt. Congrats on the upgrade, just checked with B&H, my new xt and 70-200 f4L arrives on Thursday, can't wait!

You can go to the Canon EOS USA web site and d/l the updater package to the latest ZB and Digital Photo Pro. Using this procedure, you won't even need to uninstall the existing s/w. I did this when I ordered a new laptop and the 5D, installing my 20D versions, then upgrading and loading the 5D drivers while waiting for it to arrive (amazing how long 3 days can be!). When it finally arrived I plugged it in, added owner's name, and went wild (relatively speaking).

I know that feeling Jon :D Thanks everyone, and yes, it is a really exciting day - I ordered the XT from B&H on Sunday, I live in the Bahamas and here it is, in my hot little hands, TODAY, barely 2 days later! Now that's service!!:D

I bought my 300d on Ebay ( I am but a lowly college student. study photography) I know I can get firmware and drivers but not the other software that comes with the CD. I didn't get the CD with my camera. Does anyone know where I can get that software?
