500th post - and the reason I take pictures.

I'm still one of the new kids on the block around here and am learning just enough to be dangerous, but I decided I wouldn't let 500 pass without a little personal celebration. Here's the reason I bought a DSLR - can you blame me!?

Hello, what a beautiful picture.
Your profile says "Image Editing OK" so I did some small touch-ups. Not becuase there is anything wrong with your photo, but because it is so beautiful and who could be a better critic of my edits than you!
If you don't approve of these edits, please let me know and I shall remove the image.
Edits: Cleaned up some glare around the chin and eyes, brighted the photo just a touch and a tad bit of sharpening.
Again, this was mostly for me, as it is very seldom I see such a perfect picture that I can practice on.
Thank you very much for sharing this and congratulations on # 500!!!

While that is a great edit, I think the "bright" spots on the chin were more desirable, as that baby drool is what makes the first picture even better.

I agree, for a photo album, Christmas card, photo for the family, I'd leave the drool, you can't beat it. All I wanted to attempt was a "Hang on the wall portrait".
